Getting the most out of EthicalStrike
Practical walkthroughs for deploying sensors, running assessments and reading the reports. If you are an existing client, sign in to the portal to see guidance tailored to your engagements.
Deployment
Deploy a sensor at your site
Install the agent on a Debian or Ubuntu host with the supplied package, generate a one-time enrolment token in the portal under Sensors, drop it into the sensor configuration, and enable the service. The sensor dials out to the portal; no inbound firewall rules are required.
Engagements
Run your first assessment
Create an engagement in the portal: choose the client and sensor, define the in-scope network ranges, record your authorisation reference, and select the test modules. Testing will not start until a scope and authorisation are in place.
Reporting
Understand your reports
Each completed engagement produces an executive summary and a technical report, downloadable from the portal. Findings are rated by severity and mapped to CREST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR and HIPAA so you can tie remediation to the obligations that matter.
External testing
Verify ownership before external scans
Before any external assessment, confirm you control the target by publishing a DNS TXT record or supplying written authorisation. This gate ensures EthicalStrike only tests assets you are entitled to assess.
